How do I sign up for a subscription?

BlueTally is accessible to any organization via an annual or monthly subscription. This article will walk you through the steps you need to take to officially sign up.

Create Your Account and Activate a Free Trial Period

Everyone who wants to use our software can get the first two weeks of service completely free, before you even consider paying for a subscription. If you haven't created an account with us yet, we recommend that you visit our free trial Knowledge Base article to learn how to set that up.

If you have already created your account and know that you wish to subscribe to BlueTally, you may use the information below to complete your subscription.

Choosing a Subscription

You're welcome to pick a subscription at any time after your account has been created. You don't even have to speak with one of our representatives to do it!

Your first step is to visit the Billing tab, found in the dropdown menu beneath the profile icon in the upper right-hand corner of your account screen:

Your Billing page will show you how many days are left on your trial and show you the three options available to you. You'll also see that it says you are currently on the Corporate plan; that's just to indicate that you can use all the Corporate plan features while you're on your trial.

You can choose whether you would like to be billed monthly or annually using the toggle found just above the Business plan info. Note that annual billing will save you the equivalent of 2 months' worth of subscription costs over the monthly billing option.

Once you've selected your billing frequency preference, scroll down to the bottom of the page, where you will see blue buttons for each plan showing you how much you can expect to pay for each. If you select Annual, it will show you how much you will pay each year. The Monthly billing prices will match what you saw at the top of the screen.

You'll also see an option to add the License Intelligence add-on for any subscription you'd like. This section is found below the three subscription plan columns, and you can click the checkbox to include it in your overall purchase. When you do, you'll see the prices change to reflect the additional cost:

If you select either the Core or Business plan, a pop-up window will appear letting you know that you will lose access to any integrations or features that are not included in the plan. You can click the Confirm Downgrade button to move on to the first payment window.

Core plan notice:

Business plan notice:

Generally speaking, this won't appear for the Corporate plan since you won't lose access to any features or integrations if you choose this subscription. However, if you don't include the license integration add-on, you will see a similar notice, shown below:

If you don't include the license integration when choosing Core or Business, those features will also appear in your downgrade notice:

Core:

Business:

Next, you'll see the Order Summary window, stating how much you can expect to pay (excluding tax). Enter your email address, country, and ZIP/postcode, then click "Continue".

This will navigate you to the next page of the payment window. You will see how much you can expect to pay with tax included, and you will be prompted to enter your credit or debit card information. Enter the details for a valid card and click Subscribe now to officially subscribe to BlueTally!

IMPORTANT NOTE: All of our standard plans require payment in the form of a credit or debit card, except for the annual Corporate plan. If you wish to set up invoicing or a purchase order to subscribe to an annual Corporate plan, please read the next section

Also, if you are exempt from paying sales tax, please see our sales tax exemption article to learn how to be reimbursed.

Paying by Invoice

If you're subscribing to our annual Business or Corporate plan, you have the option to pay by invoice instead of using a credit or debit card. You'll find this option in a separate button in the respective column for each plan on your Billing page, highlighted in the screenshot below:

A pop-up window will appear, prompting you to do the following:

1) Review how our invoice request process works

2) Enter your company's information so we can properly issue the invoice to you

3) If your company requires Purchase Order numbers to appear on your invoices, we ask that you create the purchase order first and then include the number in your company's contact and billing information in the appropriate field. We cannot add PO numbers to a submission that has already been sent to us, so if you forget to do this, you will need to resubmit your invoice request.

4) Click the checkbox to confirm you understand that invoices can only be paid by bank transfer.

5) Once everything has been filled out properly, click Submit Request.

Once your request is submitted, our team will review the request and approve it within 1 business day. At this point, your subscription will officially activate, and you can expect your invoice to be issued within a week.

Managing Your Subscription and Billing Information

We understand that as you continue to use BlueTally, some details about your subscription, like billing or contact information, may change, and you'll need to update or manage that accordingly. We recommend visiting the Billing section of our Knowledge Base, as that will most likely have the information you need.

However, for any questions related to your subscription that are not covered by our Knowledge Base, you can also reach out directly to our support team.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I get more information about subscription pricing?

Visit the Pricing page on our website. It will inform you how much each plan costs and give you a brief overview of the available features on each plan.

Can I get more information about a specific subscription?

Yes! We have a Knowledge Base article for each available subscription that describes what you get in greater detail. Visit our Subscription section of the Knowledge Base, or click on the links in the bullet points below:

What if I set up an integration during my free trial that isn't available on the subscription plan I choose?

If you sign up for a subscription plan that doesn't include one of the integrations you set up during your free trial (eg, you set up webhooks but decide to subscribe to the Business plan), the integration will be disabled, and any data provided from the integration will be removed from your BlueTally account.

If you select a subscription other than Corporate (e.g., Business or Core), you will see a pop-up window warning that certain integrations will be removed if you sign up for that subscription. Please be advised that this message will still appear even if you haven't configured subscriptions exclusive to the higher-tiered subscriptions.

Will I have access to all the data I uploaded in my trial account after I pay for the subscription?

Yes, the account you used for your free trial is the same account you will use for your paid subscription, and you will retain access to all of the data you uploaded during your trial. The only exception to this is any data that you imported through an integration that isn't available on the plan to which you subscribed. All data added manually, as well as any data synced from an integration that is still available on the paid subscription you chose, will remain available to you.
